faCellitate is a spin-off of BASF SE. As a deeptech startup, faCellitate develops and commercializes coatings based on its proprietary, patented technology platform for the synthesis and scalable production of biomimetic materials. faCellitate has developed BIOFLOAT™: a world-leading surface for the cultivation of 3D spheroids. In addition, faCellitate develops biomimetic coatings for new applications such as stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine. The faCellitate technology is compatible with scalable industrial production processes and is chemically defined and therefore completely animal-free, opening up completely new possibilities and applications.
The BIOFLOAT™ coating technology has a highly anti-adhesive property. This makes it possible for the cultivated adherent cells to form primarily cell-cell contacts without adhering to the surface of the vessel – it forms an ultra-low attachment surface. Our BIOFLOAT product line comes a variety of pre-coated, ready-to-use ultra-low-attachment cell culture plates as well as a self-coating solution for more flexibility in the lab.
