Generative AI and large language models (LLMs) have the potential to fundamentally change how we create automated protocols for the life sciences.
In this Solutions Spotlight presentation, we’ll present OpentronsAI powered by OpenAI, a web-based tool that supports reproducible AI-powered protocol generation for Opentrons robots. Using this tool, researchers can describe experimental protocols in plain language, and OpentronsAI will then intelligently interpret and generate corresponding automated protocols that leverage Opentrons’ open-source Python Protocol API. The model has been successfully optimized for a range of protocols, including automated PCR setup and on-deck thermocycling, which we will demo during the talk.
As well as demonstrating the model, we’ll dive deeper into the techniques we use to enhance the accuracy and reliability of generative AI, the importance of well-crafted prompts, and how to use simulation to troubleshoot potential issues. Finally, we’ll tell you how to access our OpentronsAI Beta program and how we’ll be using your feedback to shape our future software releases.
