Following completion of my PhD with Dr Helen Bryant's lab at the University of Sheffield, I have spent 4.5 years in the pharmaceutical industry specialising in cellular assays. I currently work in the mechanistic biology and profiling department at Astrazeneca (Cambridge UK), with the main remit of driving the design-make-test-analyse (DMTA) drug discovery cycle through cellular and biochemical profiling assays. As part of this, I have become involved in designing, running and supporting automated assay workflows
