Tobias Michael Rosch is a 25-year-old Ph.D. student at Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany who obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Molecular and Applied Biotechnology at RWTH Aachen University. Over the course of his studies, he focused on bioprocess engineering and gained experience in technology up- and downscaling as a working student at LenioBio GmbH. During his master’s thesis at Forschungszentrum Juelich, Tobias Rosch started working with automation platforms and now applies all these skills in his Ph.D. project regarding the automated genetic engineering of the platform organism Corynebacterium glutamicum. Besides his academic studies, Tobias Rosch volunteers at the German life sciences student association, btS e.V., where he connects life science students to the industry and builds an extensive network in the community.
