PhD
Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME, Germany
Monique Schulze began her academic career in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Applied Biotechnology at RWTH Aachen University and graduated in 2020. She continued her studies in this field and specialised in bioprocess engineering at RWTH Aachen University, graduating with a Master's degree in 2023. During the Master's programme, Monique conducted her thesis at the Department of Bioprocess Engineering at the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME in Aachen, where she worked on the automation of the Plant Cell Pack (PCP) technology, which provides a high-throughput screening platform for the production of recombinant protein candidates in plants.
Since November 2023, Monique has continued her academic journey as a Doctoral student at the Fraunhofer IME and as a member of the Research Training Group (RTG) "Tumour-Targeted Drug Delivery". Her current research focuses on the development of an automated high-throughput platform for the design and production of recombinant immunotoxins in plants.
